Exploring astrophysics has been an enriching journey, and its applications extend beyond the cosmos. Integrating it with color theory, I’ve discovered a fascinating connection. Understanding how light interacts with celestial objects has given me insights into choosing harmonious colors for makeup and hairstyling. It’s like unlocking the secrets of the universe to enhance the beauty around me, bridging the celestial and the everyday in a uniquely creative way.

As a visual arts teacher, this could be something to be explored. I could encourage students to create artwork with celestial themes; organize joint science and art projects; teach scientific illustration; plan exhibitions with space themes; lead astrophotography workshops; create interactive installations; investigate space-themed art narratives; incorporate astrophysical concepts into lessons; investigate historical links between astronomy and art movements; and plan field trips to observatories and science museums. These are some ways to incorporate astrophysics into art education. Using multiple disciplines, students’ knowledge of the cosmos is expanded, strengthening their creative abilities.

This sounds like quite a lot, Michelle!!!

I guess as a Chemist, we could start with the sun, stars and maybe Mars.  Look at light and the different colours of minerals

Cu – green, Ca – red, K – lilac, Na – yellow, Mg – white

The patterns, colours, reactions and compounds found in the atmosphere as well as the reflection, refraction of light and the effect of particulates
