        • Study task: Read 8 Amazing Black Scientists and How They Changed History and post thoughts on the forum

        • Reflect task: Reflect on any adaptations you could make to your scheme of work based on Fred Oxby’s suggestion

        • Think and write: Spend some time engaging in research to find potential role models who could inspire your students. Share your action plan in the forum.

        • Pause task: Read Handout 4 and complete the action plan. Share reflections in the forum

          I have looked at where we can add role models to our existing SOW. We have a black history day this year and I plan to ensure scientists are included in this.

          The anti racist rather than non racist terminology is interesting and highlights the need for this especially in schools where we are able to influence and role model for our students.
